Richard Edward Urquhart (87) was born on December 15, 1931, in Chicago Illinois, to William Joseph and Margaret Grace (McCaw) Urquhart.  He passed away on October 26, 2019 surround by his loving family at home.

Richard only completed 2 years of high school when he decided to start working.  He eventually joined the Marines at the age of 19 years of age.  He served in the Marines for 3 years and was stationed in the Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Proud Marine (SemperFi)

Richard met his wife Liduvina “Lilly” (Mercado) Urquhart at the age of 33 on a blind date to a dance, which led to the wedding 2 years later on June 25th, 1966.  They welcomed their first-born child William Joseph Urquhart on July 22nd, 1967 (deceased), followed by their daughter Margaret Teresa Urquhart Kishta on April 14th, 1972. Followed by a granddaughter Amanda Marie Urquhart on October 11th, 1992.

Richard was a man who always made time to enjoy his family.  He loved to draw and enjoyed life to his fullest.  He loved spending time with his wife, daughter, grand daughter and son in law.  He was a hardworking man who worked factory jobs for majority of his life.  He made sure to always take his daughter and granddaughter to the park daily knowing how much they enjoyed it. They are the center of his heart. Seeing the smiles on his family’s faces was always reward enough for him. He is in heaven now with God and reunited with his parents, son, dogs and all other loved ones and is now watching over his family here on earth.

Richard is survived by his wife Liduvina (Mercado) Urquhart, a daughter Margaret Teresa (Belal) Urquhart Kishta and a granddaughter Amanda Marie Urquhart.
