|Dear Uncle Richie,
I never thought I would have to say goodbye to you, not this early in life. As a child you were an amazing uncle and godfather. We spent precious moments together at the park, fishing on Lake Michigan, and eating steak and oysters that I will not forget. Bedsides giving me the gift of your love and time, you taught me several things about life that are responsible for where I am today. You taught me the value of laughing, learning to take care of myself, and chasing all dreams regardless how big they were. It hurts to know you have left us but I know you are in a better place now. I know you are not suffering or hungry. You were the strongest man I know and I can only wish to have half the strength you retained. I love you and I'll see you again.

|Gyro, ( because that's how I grew up calling you)
I can't believe it has almost been a month since you left us. It still doesn't seem real. I find myself awake at night wondering what your doing, if heaven is real, are you in a better place? I know you have to be somewhere better than where you are because no man should have had to live the way you did. I don't know how you did it. You were a strong man. I only wish I could have seen you more, talked to you more often. I'll never forget the way you said my name, the nights you took me to navy pier to see the fire works and when I was just a kid and threw your car in reverse in front of All Star and hit a fire hydrant. You were the only uncle I've ever loved. I wish my daughter could have met you. I hope your resting easy up there and watching over us. I love you so much.
