Anna M. Stempinski

Anna M. Stempinski (nee Ellek) was the beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Joyce, the late Kenneth (Susan), and late Tom (Maria); grandmother of Kelly (Tony) Metoyer, Jessica, Alex (Ryan) Archer, and Fernando; great-grandmother of Emilia, Lucas, Logan, and Natalina. Ann was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and late Sophie Pearl (nee Gutt) Ellek; and dear sister to her deceased siblings Robert, Alice, Dolores, Helen, Michael, and Eddie.

Anna, known fondly as Ann, or Mom, was a licensed beautician with a shop in her basement. She loved to bowl, eat out, Chinese food, the Galena Territory, and Michigan. Holidays were her favorite and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 3-8:00 pm and Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 8-10:00 am at Walter Pomierski & Son Funeral Home, 1059 West 32nd Street, Chicago, Illinois 60608. A 10:00 am service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Road, Justice, Illinois. (773)927-6424.
