Blanca I. Mejia

Blanca I. Mejia, 82, passed away on May 26, 2023. Blanca was the  beloved wife of Hugo A. Mejia Sr. , loving mother of the late Mario R. Mejia, Suany A. Mejia, Walda I. Mejia, Helga M. Hernandez, Hugo A. Mejia Jr. and Karen J. Mejia.  Fond mother-in-law of James Foley and Janette Mejia.  Cherished nana to Ricardo B. Morales Jr., Delia K. Morales, Daniel H. Hernandez, Adamari I. Hernandez, Kayla E. Garcia and Jacobo A. Mejia.  Blanca was a devoted educator in her native country of Honduras C.A. and for Chicago Public Schools for many years until her retirement. She resided in Bridgeport with her husband and family.  

 

Visitation will be Friday, June 2. 2023 from 3-9:00 pm and Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 am at Walter Pomierski & Son Funeral Home, 1059 West 32nd Street, Chicago, IL 60608. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, June 3 at St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church, 1039 West 32nd Street, Chicago, IL 60608.
