David Abraham Samuel Ankoor, aged 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois.
Born on October 9, 1959, in Shamshabad, India, David was the eldest son of Abraham and Chandraleela Ankoor. He is survived by a loving family in India, his mother, Chandraleela; sister, Louise; brothers, Timothy, Raju, and Johnathan; and nephew, Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father, Abraham; sister, Jenny Mary; and brother, John Phillip.
David moved to the United States in 1988 and became a naturalized citizen in 2001. He is survived by his three children, Hezekiah, Chandra, and Nehemiah; daughter-in-law, Tyra; and five grandchildren, to which he was affectionately called “Thatha Garu.”
David was a devoted Christian and is now at peace with his heavenly Father. A service celebrating his life and love for God will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 9, at Pomierski Funeral Home. Interment is private.
