She made friends easily and was loved by all. She enjoyed and loved her garden, her flowers were always a sight to see. There were so many skill sets that she had such as knitting, needlepoint, sewing, arts & crafts. But most of all she loved cooking for her family and friends, she was so happy that her grandkids learned many of her recipes.
As a mother, she was the backbone of the family. Her indomitable spirit was a reflection of her beliefs and value system that was a model of how she lived her life and imparted that on her family. Her drive to educate her children was what inspired them to excel in life. As the saying goes, You Only Have One Mother, and we Thank God She Was our Mother!
She was also a devout, church going woman who prayed faithfully and reverentially with special veneration to La Virgin de Guadalupe.
Hermelinda is survived by her children, Angela Alonzo - Onate (Manny), Jesse Alonzo(Valencia), Rose Cavazos (George), JB Alonzo (Laura), George Alonzo (Yolanda), Veronica Ivan (Joe) and her loving grandchildren ( Who called her MAMA), Jesse Jr. (Katie), Dakota, Sarah, Ricky, Rachel, Cristian, Gabriela, Sophie, Olivia, and Chloe.
She was loved deeply and will be missed immensely by her family. She will be welcomed by those that preceded her in death, her late husband, Bernardino, parents and siblings.
