William Keating

William R. Keating, the beloved husband of Viola (nee Jandik) "Mrs. Vi" passed away Saturday. He was the father of Susan, Kathleen, William (Marge), and Daniel (Dawn); brother of Charles (Pam) Andersen; grandfather to Kristine, Katrinna, Jennifer, and Alison; great-grandfather to 7.

William was a Korean War Marine Staff Sergeant veteran, secretary of the American Legion Post #769 for 10 years, member of I.B.E.W. Local Union #134 from 1965-1997, where he was very active in union doings. William Keating was also very active politically. These two things he passed on to his two sons who followed on his footsteps to also become #134 electricians

Services will  be only for immediate family members on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 5-7:00 pm at Walter Pomierski & Son Funeral Home, 1059 West 32nd Street, Chicago, due to COVID-19.Interment  is private, due to his wishes. Family is asked to comply with Chicago requirements regarding social distancing and wearing face masks.Thank you.
