Uncle Ed was always there for our family.  When he saw a need he did his best to fill that need whether it was a neighbor,  family member or even a stranger down on their luck. Ever vigilant to the needs of his family, he provided for and protected his late mother Pauline, and his sisters until God called him to rest.
Uncle Ed also had a flare for decorating; the beauty that he was capable of generating was astounding and often left me in awe of his attention to detail and application of color.
What was always most apparent to me, was that he had a servant's heart. My late Aunt Irene often said charity begins at home, but he did not stop there. Ed was active in his community so I am not surprised  that he was part of the "doers club" in Oak Lawn. He always stood ready to lend a hand to lighten the load for another whether it was a private donation or a kind act of service.
I still remember the day he gave me my first really nice car.  I was a single parent at the time and driving a beater car;  he was worried about our safety so he gave me his.  His generosity didn't stop there. Throughout the years he never forgot to send the children a present or send  a savings bond in the mail. He especially had a sweet spot his niece Syrena and brought home gifts of jewelry when he visited RIO for a  vacation.  I have many fond memories of my Uncle Ed...too many to list here.
I pray that his  loving kindness and
generosity be given back tenfold to him heaven. May you rest in peace kind and dutiful servant of the have done well!

P.S.  We will proudly display in your honor the lovely collection of angels you gifted me so many years ago on my tree this year.  However, I think you were the best  "Angel" of them all!  Miss you!    Lynne & Family  XOXOXOXO
